Twitch Drops

Twitch Drops are an external method of earning in-game items for watching streams of XDefiant on the streaming website Twitch. In order to claim drops, viewers must link their Ubisoft Connect account to their Twitch account, and watch streams during a period where Twitch Drops are active.

Overview

For promotions of XDefiant, Ubisoft may encourage an external community event regarding Twitch Drops. Twitch Drop campaigns can involve mechanics unique to each separate campaign, and can switch the respective streamers who need to be watched to obtain the related drops. Streamers that are eligible to award drops are listed as having the "DropsEnabled" tag on their stream. The progress to each drop is cumulative across all streams in its respective pathway, and does not get locked in to one streamer. If one has not played XDefiant before claiming drops, they will still be present when the game is downloaded.

The first Twitch Drop campaign for XDefiant occurred from April 13th, 2023 to April 23rd, 2023, as part of the launch of the Closed Beta. It involved gaining access to the closed beta of XDefiant and two weapon skins, through a network of partnered streamers.

The second Twitch Drop campaign for XDefiant occurred from June 20th, 2023 to June 23rd, 2023, as part of the launch of the Open Session. It involved gaining two weapon skins through a network of partnered streamers. The M249 was originally intended to receive the Violet skin, but was replaced with the M60 in the release of XDefiant.

The third Twitch Drop campaign for XDefiant occurred from May 21st, 2024 to July 2nd, 2024, to celebrate the launch of XDefiant and the XDefiant All-Star Series. It involved a singular item available on only the Ubisoft Twitch channel, and then a universal campaign for all streamers of XDefiant for a total of six weeks.

During the event, the Vector .45 ACP Ember initially meant to release in Week 4, but was instead erroneously replaced with the Vector .45 ACP Pelagic. The Vector .45 ACP Ember was then released for those eligible in the June 18th, 2024 Patch.

The fourth Twitch Drop campaign for XDefiant occurred from July 2nd, 2024 to September 24th, 2024, to celebrate the launch of Season 1. The drops were seperated by months, being from July 2nd, 2024 to July 30th, 2024, August 2nd, 2024 to August 29th, 2024, and August 30th, 2024 to September 24th, 2024. Each month involved two tracks of Twitch rewards for Ubisoft Partner streamers and non-partnered streamers, and a single reward for gifting Twitch subscriptions to XDefiant streamers.

The drops were seperated by months, being from September 25th, 2024 to October 18th, 2024, with later months to be announced. Each month involved two tracks of Twitch rewards for Ubisoft Partner streamers and non-partnered streamers, and a single reward for gifting Twitch subscriptions to XDefiant streamers.

• (Undocumented) - Those who had obtained the Vector .45 ACP Ember skin from Twitch Drops were given the intended Vector .45 ACP Pelagic skin. The Ember skin if obtained at this time, was kept.
