The Flash Shield, full name G52-Tactical Shield, is an Ultra for the GS-Kommando available in XDefiant. The Flash Shield was added in Season 1.
Overview[]
The Flash Shield is a shield with equipped LEDs, used by Blitz from Team Rainbow. The Flash Shield is used to breach hostile strongholds with mobile cover. When the Flash Shield is active, the player is restricted to only using a modified 93R featuring a 60 round magazine, or performing a shield bash. The customized 93R does not have extra ammunition and cannot be reloaded. The Flash Shield has the ability to detonate flash charges similar to a Flashbang Grenade to blind and disorient the enemy.

October 9th, 2024 Patch
- GS-Kommando's Flash Shield now flash-blinds enemies hunkered behind the Mag Barrier or AEGIS shield. As well it should; those things provide damage protection, not eye protection.
