DedSec are a faction available in XDefiant. DedSec was first tested in the Open Session.[1]
Background[]
DedSec is a notorious hacking collective that operates in cities all around the world. With millions of followers, their goal is to expose the corruption in the common world, including large corporations. The group itself is opposed to the implementation and use of the CtOS and has the objective of proving that the system is flawed and unnecessary. The group's members hack into various CTOS systems for destructive purposes in order to highlight its weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
Gameplay[]
These tech experts can scramble the enemy’s HUD; take control of deployable items like shields, turrets, and drones; and unleash autonomous Spiderbots to hunt down the opposing team. DedSec hackers come from a variety of backgrounds, but they all believe in disrupting and dismantling systems of control, technological and otherwise. DedSec is unlocked after earning 700,000 XP, or paying 
1,000. If the player earned 
125,000 in the Open Session, DedSec will be automatically unlocked in the Preseason. The announcer for DedSec is Bagley, voiced by Pascal Langdale.
