The Blitz Shield is an Activated Ability for the Phantoms available in XDefiant.

Overview

The Blitz Shield is a usable shield that will deflect bullets and projectiles until it is destroyed or runs out of time. Holding the Blitz Shield will not allow the player to fire their weapon, but will be able to perform a shield bash, capable of killing an enemy in two hits. The shield cannot be destroyed by the EMP Grenade, but can be destroyed by enemy damage. Using the Blitz Shield will prevent the player from sprinting.

Patch Notes

September 25th, 2024 Patch

• Restored controller force feedback when blocking damage with the Blitz Shield. Also added sound effects to indicate when the Blitz Shield takes damage.

July 21st, 2023 Patch

• EMP does not cancel the Blitz Shield.
• Players holding the Blitz Shield no longer takes incendiary damage from enemy Cleaner bullets.
